Waystones are the primary teleportation method in the new age of The Ancient World utilizing three extremely rare magical components. The blocks (pedestal & core) can not be crafted and are only obtained when you first Enter The Ancient World. The teleportation scrolls can be crafted using rare magical items.
Building a Waystone
- Place the pedestal
- Place the core on top
- You’ll see: “A Dormant Waystone takes shape. Use a Warp Scroll to attune it.”
- The waystone is now dormant – it exists as a structure but has no magic yet.
Activating a Waystone
- Hold an Ancient Warp Scroll in your main hand
- Right-click the core block
- The waystone becomes active and the scroll is now bound to it
Teleporting
- Hold your bound scroll in your main hand
- Right-click anywhere (air or any non-waystone block)
- You’ll be teleported to your waystone!
- You’ll also be teleported to your waystone automatically upon death.
Rules & Restrictions
- One waystone per player | Attuning a new waystone automatically unbounds your old one
- Waystone protection | Only the owner can break their active waystone. Other players cannot break it.
- XP cost | Teleporting costs experience levels (3 levels)
- Cooldown | After teleporting, the scroll needs time to recharge (5 minutes)
- Structure integrity | Breaking the pedestal (bottom block) also deactivates the waystone above it
- Waystone Rarity | New Waystone blocks (pedestal & core) can not be crafted and are only obtained when you first Enter The Ancient World, making them a high-value asset. Don’t lose them!
